(Poll) Challenge: January 23!

That’s right, it’s the first week of my challenge, and it’s time to decide what dish to prepare.  As of right now, only my family/friends are reading this, but I still expect some suggestions!

What tasty tithe should I throw together this Saturday?

    • Ideally, since I’m moving out of the flat in a week, I’d prefer to NOT have to buy a souffle dish. Tom has no cookware except pots/pans, let’s keep it at that!

  1. Blood pudding. Now there’s an idea. My friend Jared suggested a huge, greasy hamburger (never made of those) since I’m heading to the States soon.

    DECISIONS.

  2. My vote is for a dessert and I’m a pie man so I vote for homemade pie, Coconut Cream pie to be exact.
The pie crust has to be homemade and made from lard (Grandma says it’s much flakier and I do believe she was right). No whip topping but only real meringue will do. Browned just so. mmmm. Now we’re talkin.

    • I never, ever, ever use fake pie crust. I make it all from scratch, and if you talk to my family you’ll know I mean business. Don’t worry about the pie crust 😉

Coconut cream… I’ve never made it! Hmm, that’s really tempting. Not a coconut fan… so I’ve actually never eaten one! Give me the recipe. 😀

  3. your other choice would be homemade chocolate. Not the fluff stuff but real chocolate pie made from a pudding. mmmm. It’s a secret family recipe. 😀

  4. Have you ever ventured into West Indian cooking or curries and such?! My favorite food of all time is curried chicken [with potatoes of course] and roti! OMG, I need a moment…
If you mastered that [and I’m sorry you would have to be local at the time, because I would HAVE to sample it], you would be a serious deity…Just saying…

  5. i challenge you to make a french breakfast. Complete with french toast with maple (real)syrup homemade waffles with real wipped cream and of course homemade croissants!

  6. That’s a little extreme, and I’ve done French toast/waffles!

I’d love to attempt the croissants, but I’d have to stay up all night to do it.
